Its been a few months since I released the honeystack app and here's what I'm discovering:
- No single person knows all the tools their team uses, only the ones they personally use every day.
- Even if that person did know all the tools, they don't know how every person on the team feels about them, only how they personally feel.
Organizations don't have feelings; people do.
I built honeystack to understand the tech stack of an organization, but I asked people to fill it out. There's a disconnect.
So its time for v2 of honeystack and I need your help.
How can I make it better?
What would be the easiest way for your team to share your tech stack with me? Do you have it in a spreadsheet or maybe a document?
Would it be better if multiple people could complete the assessment in collaboration rather than one person doing it alone?
Would it be easier to export expenses from Quickbooks? Or should I build a Quickbooks integration?
What if you had a conversation with an AI chat bot rather than filled out a form? Would that be easier for you? That would allow you to rattle off as many tools as you are familiar with and call it good.
Just reply to this email with your thoughts!
And if you haven't completed your tech stack yet, try it and let me know how it could be better. honeystack.app
Until next week,
Ted
